Projects Due!!

Don't forget all projects are due on Monday May 3rd at the beginning of class. We will have a brief critique and then begin to discuss the final.

Spring Break Reminders

Have a safe and happy spring break! But here are some reminders to help you stay on track in studio art...

If you missed school when sketchbooks were due, they are due the first day you are back. Each class day after that you will receive 2 points off.
Fifth Period- Our first day back we will begin "collaging" which means: you must be done with your portrait contour line drawing, you must have a topic and your brainstorm sheet complete, and you must bring LOTS of printed materials for you to use in your collage. I will be checking these on Monday 4/26. Depending on your progress you will receive a 10, 5 or 0.
Eighth and Ninth Periods- If you borrowed materials over break and/or brought your project home, please, please, please make sure it is in class on Monday 4/26. We will do an in-progress critique and continue working on these for the remainder of the week until the due date which is Monday 5/3.
All studio art classes will be given the information for the final exam on Monday 5/3. The exam is a three part assessment which will be worked on for the rest of the school year.

The Pittsford School District art faculty is exhibiting our own personal work at Gallery 821 in Schoen Place. The opening is this Friday, April 9th from 6-9pm. Your extra credit assignment is to go to the gallery Friday night, or during the day on Saturday. Find one of my photographs, there are 3, and write a half a page response/critique about my work. It can be typed or hand written and must be turned in on Monday 4/12 for extra credit in the third quarter. This assignment is worth half a project grade (50 points).
