8th Grade Value Paintings

Here are some of the first semester, 8th grade value paintings. Students started by choosing subject matter that matched their theme. We then put the photo in Photoshop, turned it black and white and added a filter. Students then created a grid on their photo and project paper, in order to enlarge and create their drawing in proportion. After students completed their drawing, they used six values of acrylic paint to fill in their drawing. The results are amazing!

CRMS Artwork on Display

For the month of December, CRMS student artwork is on display in the BRMS Board of Education meeting room, and at the Pittsford Community Public Library.
