Calkins- 7th Grade

Last week was a very exciting week for our seventh grade art students! We had a visiting artist work with the students to teach them about paper making. Mrs. Ruth Vaughn worked with our students for two days, teaching them about the history & origins of paper and making hand made paper. In addition to each student being able to make their own paper, they were also all able to contribute to a large group paper painting. Traditionally we choose a masterpiece and the students recreate it using paper pulp. The students used blenders and recycled paper to make the pulp and basters as their brushes!
